At the bare minimum, cubicles are constructed from vertical panels on two sides and a flat work area. Depending on the needs of your Spokane office, the layout of your office, and the type of work your employees do, taking advantage of recent office trends and innovations can help improve employee productivity and outlook. There are a few different types of cubicles available.
Standard Cubicle
This is probably what most people have in mind when they hear “cubicle.” Grey vertical panels on 2-4 sides, and a flat work area for a computer and phone. Typically, these can be connected together to form rows, and often can accommodate attachments such as filing cabinets, overhead lights, shelves, and many other customizations. Larger cubicles can offer some privacy if there are panels on 4 sides, and some can have room for guest seating, or even a door for more enhanced privacy.
Partitions
In a setting that requires more collaboration between employees, but still requires some privacy, partitions between employees or teams can help divide the work space. These are often covered in fabric to provide some level of noise dampening
Benching
Benching is not a new practice in Spokane, but it has gained popularity in recent years. Benching is the idea that employees can sit at tables with low dividers so that they can more easily collaborate with people next to them and across from them. In some instances, employees will all be facing the same direction to help reduce noise interference.
